Texas Ethics Commission - The Texas Ethics Commission provides a variety of services related to the laws administered. Currently, the Commission is charged with administering laws governing the following (but not limited to just these): political contributions and expenditures, and political advertising; lobbyist registration and activities; and representation before state agencies. The commission serves as a repository for reports that are required by these laws; it serves as a resource for interpretation of these laws (by issuing advisory opinions); it has rule making authority with respect to these laws; it processes sworn complaints filed in connection with these laws; and it provides training for state employees and officeholders for compliance with these laws.

The Third Party Advocate - A website promoting Third Parties. Includes some state-specific pages (including Texas) with news and links to state government and non-partisan websites.

Independent Texans - Independent Texans is a new kind of political organization dedicated to the overthrow of special interest politics and politicians. Rather than a political party that tells voters who to vote for, IT's task is two-fold. First is to encourage the development of new leaders who are not beholden to special interests politics. And second, is to clean up political corruption! IT's nickname, "notaparty -- or none-of-the-above party", came in light of the sad fact that the vast majority of voters are staying home and therefor voting for "none-of-the-above" until they see something worth voting for. If you are one of these non-voters, or someone who goes to the polls holding your nose -- you must be an Independent Texan!

Center for Voting and Democracy - The Center for Voting and Democracy is dedicated to fair elections where every vote counts and all voters are represented. As a catalyst for reform, we conduct research, analysis, education and advocacy to build understanding of and support for more democratic voting systems. We promote full representation as an alternative to winner-take-all elections and instant runoff voting as an alternative to plurality elections and traditional runoff elections.

Politics Online - Welcome to Your 21st Century Campaign HQ: all the information, tools and resources you need to win your political or community campaign. That's why we started PoliticsOnline back in 1996, to provide you - ordinary citizens - with everything you need to 'take back' politics. If you want to run for office, or help someone who is, organize your community or just be an active and engaged citizen - PoliticsOnline is for you. With AOL's support we can use the power of the Internet to put you in control: to give you all the tools, information and resources you need to win in politics. And like in the days of 1776, it's "We the People"...That's where it all begins, with you and me. Are we going to start a new revolution...you bet we are!!! And YOU are in charge. Good luck with your campaign...make the world a better place.
